Contests are great for getting attention. If you plan it right, each person  
entering will help you broaden your reach and invite others to enter as well. I  
will show you how to do this a little further down in the report, but keep in  
mind that one of your biggest goals with any Instagram contest is to get in  
front of more people and gain more followers. For most of us, it makes sense  
to offer a few of our products, services, or whatever it is we are selling as  
contest prizes. If you do not have your own products yet, you can offer a gift  
card as a prize for your contest, but given a choice. Show them what they  
can win and share what you have to offer at the same time. Each time you  
show off the contest prize, you are also sharing your amazing product that  
happens to be available on your website. It also gives you a chance to point  
out features and benefits of the prize they can win without sounding too  
pushy. Not only do you get your products or whatever it is you're selling in  
front of more eyeballs with a contest, you will also end up with a lot of people  
who are very interested in what you were offering as a prize but did not win.  
By following up with them and possibly giving them a great deal as a  
consolation prize, you can expect to make quite a few extra sales as a result  
of each contest. I hope I have you convinced by now that there are a lot of  
good reasons why you should run an Instagram contest. Let's do some  
planning. Start by spying on the competition. Find a few Instagram contests  
in your niche and observe how they are set up, what is required to enter, how  
well they perform, and how long the contest is running for. This gives you a  
lot of great information and some excellent ideas for your own contests. Usergenerated content is a great way to get your message or product to lots of  
people quickly. One day to receive user generated content is through  
contests. One hurdle lots of companies struggle with is getting people to  
share their positive experiences about their product or service. With contests  
after purchase, it generates sales and lets people share their positive  
experiences about the company. One way many different companies do this  
is to include a card or sticker in the box. They then ask the consumer to  
share a picture of the product and use a specific hashtag or tag them and  
they will pick a winner once a month on their page. This encourages people
