One of the militants who attacked an ambulance in Battal in Jammu’s Khour Monday morning were killed in a nearly six-hour encounter with the Indian Army, officials have said. The militants were dressed in military fatigue and fired at an Army ambulance, leading to an exchange of fire with the Indian Army. While there has been no official confirmation yet, sources said that troops have recovered the bodies of all three militants. They are yet to be identified but security forces and police believe that they belonged to the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed and are believed to have crossed the Manawar Tawi river from Pakistan to enter Battal.
