Many diamond mines had been discovered in the continent of Africa, from where diamonds were obtained in abundance. The farmer living in a village there often used to hear stories of people who made good money by finding diamond mines and became rich. He also wanted to become rich by finding diamond mines. To fulfill his dream of becoming rich one day, he sold his farm and set out in search of a diamond mine. Even after scouring almost all the places in Africa, he could not find anything of the diamonds. With the passage of time, his morale started falling. He started seeing his dream of becoming rich getting shattered. He became so desperate that his desire to live ended and one day he jumped into the river and gave his life.
During this, the second farmer, who had bought his field from the first farmer, one day went to the small river flowing in the middle of the same field. Suddenly he saw rainbow light erupting from the water of the river. He looked carefully, and found that it was shining due to the rays of the sun falling on a stone on the bank of the river. The farmer bowed down and picked up the stone and brought it home. It was a beautiful stone. He thought that it would be useful for decoration and he decorated it at home. For many days, that stone was decorated at his house. One day a friend of his came to his house. When he saw that stone, he was surprised.
He asked the farmer Friend! Do you know the value of this stone itself? The farmer replied, No. I think its a diamond. Probably the biggest diamond ever discovered. Friend spoke. It was difficult for the farmer to believe this. He told his friend that he had found this stone on the bank of the river in his field. There may be more such stones out there. Both reached the field and selected some stones from there as samples. Then sent them for examination. When the inquiry report came, the words of the farmers friend turned out to be true. Those stones were diamonds. There was a stock of diamonds in that field. It was the most precious diamond mine discovered till that time. The name of his mine is Kimberley Diamond Mines. The second farmer became rich because of that mine. The first farmer wandered from door to door in Africa and finally gave his life. While the diamond mine was under his feet in his own field.
