Some people argue that competition in all facets of life, such as work, school, and day-to-day life is important, while others contend that cooperation plays a more pivotal role. Despite the positive outcomes that come with competition, I feel that cooperation is more beneficial for people.

It is true that competition comes with several benefits, one of which is personal growth. While competing, regardless of the setting, people build important traits and skills. These include but are not limited to resilience and problem-solving. Take school children, who will have to face challenges in real life, as an example. If they develop a resilient nature and problem-solving skills, navigating real-life challenges will be much easier. Moreover, a competitive spirit results in increased motivation to work and study harder. People usually rely on extrinsic motivation to push themselves, and to keep up with or not fall behind their competitors, they focus their full energy and effort on work or study, leading to increased productivity and greater outcomes.

However, it would be wrong to overlook the importance of collaboration. It brings about many benefits too, and deep learning is one of them. When collaborating, people can enjoy the opportunity to learn from each other, which is why most schools incorporate this technique to reinforce learning. Teachers often organize group discussions, pair work, and group projects in their classes to help students learn more efficiently and with great depth. The role of working together is not limited to only effective learning. It also leads to faster results. When people collaborate while working towards a common goal, they bring their own skill sets to the table, and since they are filling each other's gaps and weaknesses, the process speeds up and leads to quicker results.

In conclusion, both competition and collaboration have a lot to offer. Although the former allows for the development of skills and qualities along with motivation, the latter leads to better learning and faster results. Therefore, I think that collaborating with others is significantly better than competing against others.
