my thoughts on these
• Google: now I think the alternative lowercase g with serifs is kinda cool but I understand why they changed it to the sans serifs font, it's beautiful it's great now in the paste I use to love times new romans because of serifs notably the '&' however it's a style that has grown old on me and the nice clean look of a serifs font is just beautiful now, also did you know the lowercase g has it's... whatever hanging much higher than you would think? when you notice it you can't unsee it! Anyway I would love to have a book, those brown paper books which instead of that classic serifs font it would be printed in sans serifs I would buy it, now a days I like old English style fonts for style and serifs for me is... well nothing to me.
• Pringles: the old classic logo is quite nice but the new one is just amazing, a pure black mustache, no pupil in the eyes making them more distinct and to top it all off the all caps text nice and tall flowing around the bowtie! Changes I would have made is to add an outline to the face to make it more distinct but all and all very visible logo nice and memorable people will notice.
• FireFox: now here is something that has gone a little too far, what use to be a fox hugging the earth as a message to connect everyone together though the internet (or something idfk) now has turned into a fox body around a blue sphere into well... a mess it's depressing, now I heard they are keeping the 5th design and the 6th one was for their brand bundle or something so it's not that bad but still... what I would do is keep the 4th, and then have for FireFox's home page it would have a big logo consisting of the earth from the 2nd and the fox from the 3rd as a nice little peace in the middle.
• Internet explorer: having your logo being the most common letter in the alphabet you need your logo to be different from the rest and the classic blue 'e' with the yellow ring is just enough for a product of this size, now in their newer logos they made it all a solid light blue, mono color logos are useful just look at bad apple, then they changed it back to the darker blue they had and got rid of the ring, and the amazing shading in the light blue logo stayed leaving this scar in the logo, after that they introduced a green color and made the e a swirl adding gradients back to the logo which is a terrible idea, I lived in a time where we had that first logo and now that it has changed from an e to a swirl I don't even recognize it as internet explorer anymore which really says something. what I would do is make bring back the mono color style e but with a yellow band around it like the old style which means it's more memorable instead of this corporate swirl we have.
• Chrome: now I know he didn't include it in the video but I just had to write about it, so the old logo was this beautiful colorful cyborg logo which looked fire but it was angled to show off the 3D photorealistic look, they then made it all straight and flatter but still kept some gradentes, they then made it less saturated for some reason and then removed all the gradients leaving a flat colored logo. Now what I would do is change the logo back to the second one and just like with the firefox logo make the first logo be the homepage logo to show off that cyborg aesthetic
• Pizza Hut: now the first logo looks kinda meh, what I'm saying it looks awful, that hand drawn font, those black outlines that change in width they just look so choppy, it did have a green leaf 'i' which is nice. The next logo gets rid of that yellow thing and changes the red thing to have no outlines and more 3D which does look nice but that means they can't have their logo on their buildings without printing them out instead of just having a solid color shape but they seem to just use an alternative logo for that so meh, the next one looks like if the company made a wax seal and just made that their logo, it's horrible, it gets rid of all the color the font is the same but white on red just no… The next and final logo hopefully brought back the colors and made the text straight with a new font! which is wonderful, now it does look a little strange with the z but it's still a lot better and it's of course similar to their old font. Things I would change? probably change the font to a sans serifs font but the font they do have is ok.
• Burger King: their oldest logo im looking this up right now looks good? if it was like a medicine company or something I mean what does the sun have to do with the logo? also it's black and white, the next one why did they do this… it looks like their logo was cut out with scissors and it's horrible even as a mono logo, next they put technoblade into the logo (ok that's a horrible joke yes I know…) it's a character sitting on a giant burger with a cup… it's really complex and I guess it would be memorable but all the space being used to make the logo's details also steals the visibility at a distance ruining it. also the text, the most important thing, I have to criticize is that its font is one of those fonts that have lowercase letters but they are just smaller uppercase letters like wtf? and it's a light red choppy style font over a yellow and white splotchy background. The next logo is a red burger patty text around burger buns which is one of the best logos, dual colors and everything! although the greenish orange buns are a little off and the font looks off… the next one fixed those issues good! The next one is just amazing! it's that logo but swirled into all kinds of fun! it has bright yellow buns around the sharp bold text all put around a blue swoosh… whatever it's called it's just wonderful. The last one is the same thing as the other one before it except a bit more bold but they still keep the other one as their main logo and the other as a kinda alternative logo. Things I would change, I can't help but notice the leg of the capital R in that font is curving up instead of down which I would change but it is quite a personal preference so it's fine the way it is.
• RadioShack: now the old logo was definitely a style but meh, the negative spaces being the same width I can deal with but all the enclosed spaces including the 'c' is replaced with a small circle and all offset down which… it's definitely a style, also let's not forget the 'i' without a dot which is probably due to the very ascenders which I can get behind, it makes everything larger and also it is monocolored. The next one is a much better font that I can get behind, the 'a' is a little wonky but it's ok, now they added a single letter logo which I guess goes with the text logo which is why I guess it's black? also it's a R with a circle around it but offset which… is definitely a style, but without the text it's not that distinct to other logos so I guess that's why they did that. The next one is a little better, the R and the outline is bold and they put their text in a rectangle and also made it all lowercase? they also flipped the colors I just don't even know anymore. the last one the colors stay the same but the text is out of the rectangle and the colors are more saturated which pretty good for visibility and recognition.
• Cartoon Network: now they got lucky with the number of letters in each word being the same so they took full advantage of that and made their logo a checkerboard pattern and it's also mono color so bonus points for that! now the font is ok, it is a bit bold and the very harsh pattern is quite eye watering and it's quite small which for a transparent watermark in the corner of the screen that is gonna go through loads of compression in its lifetime is not that great. The next logo is a BIG CN which is great for visibility and it's angled with a little shadow which is nice but it does not make it mono color anymore, also to top it all off they have "CARTOON NETWORK" at the bottom of the logo which means if anyone doesn't know who CN is (isn't that a train company?) The small text is there to provide you with that. The next and final logo is all for visibility, the flat look makes it very visible at small sizes and all and all very iconic. Would I change anything? nah it's perfect.
• GoDaddy: their old logo oh boy, it's a company of a CEO who can't keep his addiction for hot chicks out of his business which is fine you do you, but it also means that his very professional domain name service is surrounded by… you know, now their logo, it's a "daddy" character with a hand drawn font which is actually not that bad, I really love the cursive style 'y' although it is a font so both the d's are the exact same right next to each other, they also seem to have an alternative logo with the .com in it and the whole logo is in this black oval and the .com is in a yellow oval which really looks like the style of… another website somewhat related to the old style of the company… anyway that logo is quite nice and the orange wavy hair is outlined in bold which is good. they then changed it to a more clean sans serifs font and made the daddy's glasses more green which meh ok, but I can't get that broken looking 'y' out of my head, it looks awful and I can't seem to find out why they could have done that. the next logo they made dropped the "daddy" character and made the text green for some reason, the next change they made the font less bold (still leaving that y…) and they added an actual logo which just looks quite arbitrary like it came from a logo generator and I don't really even associate it with the brand at all and the font is a very nice light blue on a white background oh joy… I guess light blue on black looks awful so they made the right choice, they do also seem to have a black on white and black on blue which is nice. things I would change, of course the font has to go, the moment you notice that 'y' you can't unsee it and maybe pick a nice trans color pink because it's cute!
