ImageRight is an electronic document management system which replaces traditional paper file storage or the use of shared drives, and allows for work to be assigned from one user to another via tasks in a defined workflow within the application, as opposed to via emails. Using the Wildcard to Search for Files-The File Open screen will appear. In order to open a file using a product number from Submission, make sure that the drawer reads All Locations and the file type reads All File Types. This drawer typically reflects the profit center and the file type reflects the department in submission. To search insert a wildcard % into the File Number field followed by the product number. Select Find Now. The wildcard takes the place of any information that the user does not know when performing a search. For example, if the user is looking for a file with the account name of The ABC Company, but did not know if the word Company was abbreviated or spelled out in ImageRight, The ABC% could be entered. If the user did not know whether or not the name started with The, %ABC% could be entered. The wildcard can also be used to search for any secondary attribute. There are a few ways to go about searching for multiple effective dates. Keep in mind that the format for Effective Date in ImageRight is YYYY-MM-DD. To complete a search for all files with an effective date in October of 2016, type 2016-10% into the Effective Date field. The % takes place of the day. A search for a range of dates can be completed, but this function is limited. For example, to search for products with an effective date between October 15th and October 17th, 2016, enter 2016-10-1% into the Effective Date field. This would only find files from October 10th through the 19th. All files with an Effective Date of 10/15, 10/16, and 10/17 in addition to the other dates between October 10th through the 19th will be displayed if that column has been added to the File Open screen. A search can be done to find everything with an Effective Date of October 5th, across multiple years. In order to complete a search from October 5th of 2014, 2015 and 2016, %10-05 would be entered into the Effective Date field. In this case, the % takes place of the year.
