Ingredients:
1. Bread (sliced)
2. Protein (such as turkey, ham, chicken, tuna, or tofu for a vegetarian option)
3. Cheese (optional)
4. Vegetables (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, bell peppers, etc.)
5. Condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, pesto, etc.)
Steps:
1. Start by laying out two slices of bread.
2. If desired, spread condiments like mayonnaise, mustard, or pesto on one or both slices of bread.
3. Add your protein (turkey, ham, chicken, tuna, or tofu) on one slice of bread.
4. Add cheese on top of the protein, if using.
5. Layer your vegetables on top of the cheese (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, bell peppers, etc.).
6. Place the other slice of bread on top to form the sandwich.
7. If you prefer, you can cut the sandwich in half diagonally or straight across before serving.
