Merely condemning the way Khalistan supporters targeted the Indian High Commission in London and the Indian Consulate in San Francisco in the US after the police action against extremist Amritpal Singh and his associates in unruly Khalistani Punjab is not enough. India should ensure that the UK and US governments take strict action against these miscreants. It is not right that neither any security arrangements were seen in the Indian High Commission in London nor in the Consulate in San Francisco. What is worse is that action was not taken against the Khalistanis responsible for the attacks on these two Indian bases, which was not only expected but necessary. This is not the first time that Britain and America have been lax in taking action against Khalistanis who are hurting Indian interests. The disturbance and violence of Khalistanis has been ignored for a long time. Just as it is happening in Britain and America, the same is happening in Canada and Australia also. It is not hidden from anyone how Khalistanis targeted temples one after the other in these two countries. Officials in Canada and Australia condemned the incidents of targeting of temples, but did nothing in the name of action against the unruly elements. It cannot be a mere coincidence that instead of taking necessary action against the unruly Khalistanis in their own countries, the Western countries are sitting idle. Is this laxity part of a well thought out strategy? India will have to get to the bottom of this question and one solution to this is to directly question and answer these countries. It is surprising to see the laxity in taking action against anti-India elements on the part of those countries which are friendly countries of India and with whom bilateral talks are going on on various subjects. If the Western countries do not show promptness in controlling the Khalistanis, then India should not hesitate in making it clear that their laxity towards the elements active against Indian interests will serve to spoil the relations. India will have to register its objection with these countries and force them to take action against Khalistani extremists. Since the actions of Khalistanis are becoming more like those of Jihadis, there is no other way than coming to the conclusion that they are getting Pakistan's help and support. It is clear that India will also have to keep an eye on Pakistan's actions. Along with this, attention will also have to be paid that Khalistanis active abroad are not allowed to spoil the atmosphere in Punjab.
