Volcanism The activity of volcanoes is responsible for spreading a large amount of sulfur dioxide, water vapour, dust particles and ash in the atmosphere. Although volcanic activity may only last for a few days, the huge amounts of gases and ash released affect climate patterns over long periods of time Ocean Currents Oceans have an important role in the process of climate change. Twice the temperature is absorbed by them as compared to the atmosphere or the ground surface. Ocean currents are responsible for the transfer of temperature around. Due to these, the temperature is affected by changing the direction of the winds. An important part of the temperature-absorbing greenhouse gas is water vapor from the oceans, which acts to absorb the temperature in the atmosphere. Storage of Methane Gas  There is a huge storage of greenhouse gas methane in the form of methane hydrate in the bottomless depths under the ice of the Arctic Ocean which remains in hydrate form at specific temperature and pressure. When there is a change in temperature and pressure, this methane is released and joins the atmosphere. In its gaseous form, methane is one of the most potent greenhouse gases, warming the Earth much more than carbon dioxide. Greenhouse Effect Gases A part of the heat of sunlight is absorbed by carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor etc. present in the atmosphere, this phenomenon is called the greenhouse effect. Use of fossil fuels- Due to the use of fossil fuels, the level of greenhouse gases especially carbon dioxide is increasing in the atmosphere. The use of fossil fuels is believed to account for about 33% of carbon dioxide emissions. response to the threats posed by climate change and global warming, the historic Paris Agreement was adopted in 2015, with the goal of limiting global temperature rise this century to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial temperatures. The agreement also aims to enhance the capacity of countries to deal with the effects of climate change through appropriate financial flows, new technology infrastructure and improved capacity building frameworks. The Paris Agreement on Climate Change entered into force on 4 November 2016 to strengthen worldwide action to combat the threat of climate change and to outline efforts to limit temperature rise to well below Urgent action is needed to address both the pandemic and the climate emergency to save lives and livelihoods. The fever temperature of the planet Earth is continuously increasing. Governments have to take appropriate steps to ensure citizens' participation in it. To control climate change, governments need to invest in sustainable development measures, move towards building green jobs, green economy. To save life on earth, to keep it healthy and to deal with the dangers of global warming, all the countries have to work together sincerely. No country alone can deal with the menace of global warming.
