This has become possible because of the special POCSO court, where the guilty have been sentenced by taking prompt action. Generally, rape victims or their families have to wait a long time. Advocate Chetan Pareek said that POCSO courts are special courts, where only cases registered like POCSO Act are included. Chetan said, Only ADJ level officers are appointed in this court. The cases registered under the POCSO Act, framed for sexual abuse offenses against children below the age of 18 years, are heard. Also, the provisions of punishment are more stringent in this court than in the IPC. In the year 2019, the Supreme Court had ordered that the central government would set up special POSCO courts in every district of the country, where more than 100 POSCO cases are pending. Funds for these courts will be given by the central government. The government will make this court in 60 days. Explain that through these courts, efforts are made to settle cases of sexual abuse of children as soon as possible.
