There are students all around, but ideal students are very rare. Our schools and colleges have become the hot-beds of strike. It is very difficult to find an ideal student. Only ideal teachers and ideal students can raise the standards of education. They alone can lead the country to progress. An ideal student is simple and pure in his living habits. He respects his teachers and helps his parents. He has a keen sense of duty. He is regular and punctual. He keeps away from bad company. He grows into dreams and high thoughts. An ideal student is not a bookworm. He knows that simple book-knowledge is not enough. He gives his time to games and sports. He plays every evening for an hour. A healthy mind lives in a healthy body. So, an ideal student looks after his health. Games keep him fresh. With his freshness he takes more interest in life.
An ideal student keeps his eyes and ears open. He does not take any direct part in politics. But he takes interest in the various events, going on in the country and the world. He reads the daily newspaper. He does not waste his time. He knows that time is money. He has an aim before him. He tries his best to fulfil this aim. Students of today are citizens of tomorrow. It is out of them that statesmen, scientists, doctors and engineers will be made. So their total personality should develop. An ideal student tries to enrich his personality in every way. Our country will shine brightly if our students become ideal. We have many defects in our society today. Ideal students can remove these defects. An ideal student is a pride for his parents, and an asset for his school and the society as a whole.
