Many Saudi Aramco employees need to use Internet services for their jobs. The company allows all employees who need these services to use them. Supervisors need to approve this use first. Employees must get an Internet ID and password. They must also sign a form that says they says they will follow the regulation for using the Internet. One rule is that employees cannot give their Internet ID and password to anyone else. Another rule is that employees cannot use the Internet for their own use. This includes e-mail. E-mail, or electronic mail, is that most popular service on the Internet. It allows people to send messages from one computer to another. People can send and receive e-mail worldwide. Many people use e-mail instead of regular mail or the telephone. But Saudi Aramco forbids employees to use e-mail for non-company work.
