I welcome everyone to this speech ceremony and the topic for today is Laughter is the Best Medicine. This proverb is irrefutable because when we laugh our heart out we forget every sorrow for some time at least and feel delightful. The ability to smile or laugh is God gifted and trust me its contagious. I am sure none likes to see a sad or a drooping face. A happy face is what everyone adores and roars of laughter electrify the whole environment.
If you want to observe laughter in its best form observe children who when play or perform any activity that they love are full with roaring laughter. The soul gets lifted when we behold children playing and laughing amongst themselves. Such moments teem with a great sense of bliss and sheer joy. The laughter of the children is the most beautiful things in this world and heavenly too. And seeing those sparkling faces of children the hearts of the elders start booming with delight and when you laugh you can actually feel the beauty of the world around and realize that good things happen too.
Also laughter is the easiest and best way to forge bonds. It helps family and friends to come together and strengthen their relationship. It also increases the intimacy and trust amongst the people because laughter is a clear reflection of joy within ones heart. Anxiety sadness loneliness and depression are all the negative facets in a human being and none wants to live with such feelings but when these feelings dominate laughter cannot prevail. So it is very important to not let these feelings prevail and overwhelm. So laugh out the anxiety because it is the best therapy for everything. Laughter can help alleviate stress and give you a gift of health in many ways possible. But one thing is that God gives joy and laughter to those who believe in Him and does no harm to any living being. There was King David who firmly believed in Him and prayed to fill his life with pleasure and joy. It is in the following line that King Solomon articulated his truth which says A cheerful heart is a good medicine but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. It is up to a person how he/she handles despair and comes out victorious into a positive as well as cheerful mode. Laughter remains absent from the lives of so many people because they let negative circumstances to overshadow their happiness. So it is up to you to make sure that nothing steals your joy and you stand tall in the face of adversity.
There may be times when you feel low or sad. Whatever be the reason behind it you should not reduce your quotient of happiness. So take some time out for your family and friends and do something constructive. Enjoy life to the fullest and indulge in healthy fun.
