Typing tips
Re: Typing tips
Sorry maybe this just dumb question, but i'm curious about it.
How could you reached 100+wpm using index fingers only or non 10 fingers to get that high wpm? how to do that, are you typing watching the keyboard itself and the monitor at same time?
I'm using 10 fingers standard same as the theory i got in school and stuck in 70-85 wpm

Advice needed Badly
I can type at 40 wpm with two fingers. I must reach a speed of 55 wpm as I have to appear in an exam on December 21st. Should I continue with two fingers or should I learn touch typing? If I should continue with two fingers what should I do to increase the speed?

Re: Typing tips
Typing with all fingers will provide more reach and make you faster.

It's best to use your right pinkie.

How to break bad typing habit?
I've been practicing typing for a couple months now and finally reach 100 WPM. I went to show my friend and he noticed that I type really oddly. With my right hand, I rarely ever use my pinky, and I click space with my right index finger. He said that he thinks I could type faster if I change how I type, but I'm having a really hard time doing so. If anyone has been in the same situation as me, how did you fix it?
Re: Typing tips
Thanks Todd,, yes I do use my right pinkie,, but it is worse than my right ring,, especially returning to home row,, just wondering if this is normal or should I learn some other technique?. Thanks

Re: Typing tips
You won't have to worry about returning to the home row if you simply stretch your pinkie to hit the backspace and enter keys.paddyczech wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 7:16 pmThanks Todd,, yes I do use my right pinkie,, but it is worse than my right ring,, especially returning to home row,, just wondering if this is normal or should I learn some other technique?. Re: Typing tips
I never use my right pinkie or my left thumb, America Indian capital letters with left shift (using pinkie) and ring fingers for a q p and '... Oh and backspace too. Cut your nails and switch between the normal test and the advanced form, for some reason going back and forth helps me in the normal test by a lot.
