@ZappX: Sorry about your stolen victory. This happened to me many times too throughout the last year.
Here's what I know (Chris could correct or supplement if needed):
When a user is banned, he no longer appears in any rankings (all competitions taken included, not just the last 10) and therefore he can't win any competition. He can, however, continue to use the site like everyone but he will just be invisible (apart from his profile if you know his user ID).
Whatever the mode where there was cheating, the ban takes effect in all modes.
There is an automatic ban for those who make high scores too implausible. But for others, it's a case by case basis, taking account of the doubts and certainties. And even if YOMURO and me can report or ban users, each case is always checked again by Chris who has the last word.

I try to keep track of the cheaters that steal competition wins, but unfortunately I missed this
particular one that was banned somewhere between 01:00 CET and 02:30 CET on January 1.
How about trying to post every cheater who manage to win a competition before being banned?
This way members who were cheated have the opportunity to see who it was if they didn't catch
it before the ban, or just didn't notice they were cheated in the first place.
Maybe we could start another topic just for that purpose? A thread with the future cheaters that
win competitions and the specific competitions they steal, and nothing else.
My hopes are that past and future competitions can be corrected with an automated process down
the line. But we'll just have to wait and see, and do the best of what we have right now.

Well, no need to create another topic I think, we can use this one.
In my first post I put a link to the list of all banned users I know (even if it's not exhaustive). About them, Chris might be able to give all competitions polluted for those who are interested.
Regarding future cheaters, indeed, we can from now put links to the competitions where they have cheated in addition to their profile.
A system that would send results by mail to all participants of each competition once finished could be very useful. What do you think? In this mail, in textual form, would be included the link of the competition and the final ranking of competitors with their User ID. This would have two advantages: 1) Everyone would have a history of all his competitions and not just the last 10. 2) In this way, if a cheater wins a competition before being banned, we know who he is.

That is a good idea if there is no way to get an automated correction sytem.
Until either is developed, I'm going to create my own topic to inform the
members of the cheaters who robbed them, as best to my knowledge.
And this thread is as mentioned for a specific purpose; only spotted cheaters
with competitions won will be logged.

Well done and congratulations chimchim. 
The user was banned and removed from several competitions with around 200 WPM.
In the specific competition mentioned above he had 195 WPM.
