How many people need to participate?

How many people need to participate?

When you win a competition, how many people needed to be participated on the competition to gain the win on your profile?

I'm asking this because when I visit this profile:

I see he won 1 out of 35 competitions.. but when I go to his recent competitions I already see about 5 competitions which he won?

If you take a look at the achievements you can earn for winning competitions, you will see that it says you need to have at least 5 participants in the competition.
