I don't know if it's just me or what it is, but the Korean record seems to be a bit, well sketchy...
You know, we've considered people with more proof than that cheaters and they type slower. So unless there is a reason for us to believe that this is true that I haven't seen yet, I would ask you to rethink whether or not that guy should be on the list. Or am I just missing something obvious?

It's written in the FAQ:

How do you know which language specific characters need more than 1 keystroke?
Chinese, Japanese and Korean: I currently just quintuple the characters. For example: "明年" will count as 10 keystrokes.

Let's take the Korean word "깨끗 하다" which consists of 4 syllables. It means that under the current system, this word is 4 x 5 = 20 keystrokes.

But on a Korean keyboard, it's typed like this (each syllable is a combination of several letters):

깨 = ㄲ + ㅒ = Ro + = 3 keystrokes
끗 = ㄲ + ㅡ + ㅅ = Rmt = 4 keystrokes
하 = ㅎ + ㅏ = gk = 2 keystrokes
다 = ㄷ + ㅏ = ek = 2 keystrokes

So actually this word equals 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 = 11 keystrokes (instead of 20!).

Well, then I guess he's legit. But there's one thing I don't quite get. How can you accept him onto the list if he didn't "really" get 230 wpm? Because you know that he got more keystrokes than he really did type, so how can that be acceptable on this?

Yes, you're absolutely right jallis. He didn't typed 1171 keys, but he really typed 83 correct words, right? I know that this data is only partial, but nobody can tell what's his true WPM. So until Chris improves the system of calculation, I put him in the list while his score is still visible.

As I said in my first post, the purpose of this thread is to represent all languages of 10FF and identify who is the best in each of them. If I put the Chinese and Japanese scores (which have the same problem) then it seems normal to also include the Korean score.

The speed is inflated in these three languages and according to my calculations their WPM should be divided between 1,5 and 2 to be closer to reality, but I prefer not to extrapolate and keep the "official" score even if it's flawed.
