10FastFingers t-shirt - why is it a limited edition?

I visited the 10FastFingers website today when I notifed something to do with a 10FastFingers t-shirt - which was a limited edition which must be withdrawn on the 23rd of March. I have been a member since the 7th of the month, when I had not noticed it.

Why is this t-shirt a limited edition? Why can't 10FastFingers have the great idea of starting a Spreadshirt or Cafepress store where they can sell t-shirts that aren't only available for a limited amount of time or a limited edition?

Limited edition products are always more desirable, adding a feeling of exclusivity to the item. I think it also prompts more people to buy them sooner. ;)

Not to be nasty, but it seems that not so many people want to buy this :p
It's a pity, I really want this :(
