Well, you're right, there is something wrong. I'm really disappointed because I thought this guy was legit. But here, scores explode far too much compared to his average or even his usual maxima (which are mostly below 160 WPM). Now I can see several Spanish competitions with 172, 180, 182, 186 WPM ...

User 1114695 banned.

I do not consider it fair to ban my account because I have not cheated.
If the web does not work well and the seconds slow down I am not to blame.
For more than a year I have been using the web and have never had any problems.

I understand your reaction, it's quite legitimate if you have nothing to reproach yourself with.

On the other hand (let me play the devil's advocate), if you really are a fair typist and if you were aware that your scores were not real, but it was a bug, then you can understand that it seems quite strange that you never mentioned this problem anywhere. You could have warned us on this forum, on the Feedback page or even directly to the 10FF administrator, at least to ask if it was possible to have these scores removed. It would have been fair toward the other participants, but it seems that you did nothing about it. ;)

That being said, know that your account is not necessarily lost forever, it's possible to un-ban it and to bring back all your legit victories, but only once your suspicious scores have been removed. So if you know your actual personal best in every language you've typed, it's time to say it, it would save us time. Otherwise we will judge for ourselves.

Please stay around, I'll see your case with the admin and come back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for answering me, Linsk!
What happened to me yesterday had not happened to me until then; yes I realized that in a test in French I got to the 798 keystrokes per minute, that I had never got them and then I did two competitions in Spanish to see what result I obtained but never with the intention of cheating, just only by curiosity.
I consider myself an honest and legitimate person; and whenever I have seen an error or something similar I have contacted the administrator to send my comments on any subject.
As for the maximum scores achieved I can not say exactly what my records are, because I have not recorded my achievements. What I do know is that in my native language, Spanish, I have sometimes reached over 800 keystrokes per minute; in the Italian, Portuguese, French, Malay, German, Dutch, Danish languages I have often managed to exceed 700 keystrokes per minute. I also participate in other languages to learn, which I consider to be good, such as Esperanto, Croatian, Finnish, Swedish, Estonian, Romanian, Hungarian .... and I do not remember which, overcoming 600 keystrokes per minute.
On the other hand, some Slavic languages do not give me good, Polish, Turkish, Czech ..., in these last I rarely participated in the competitions.
I would appreciate your understanding and appreciation of all my history because I would not want to throw away all the scores achieved over the course of more than a year, just because of what happened yesterday.
I'm sorry for my English.
Regards!

OK, thank you for these first clarifications. I'm very aware of your accomplishments and that's why we will take the time to check everything, so as not to forget anything. So you confirm that your 160 WPM in French is a mistake, as well as your 172 and 186 WPM in Spanish yesterday?

What about those scores that are a month old?
180 WPM on 3 May with 7 wrong words and 0 corrections
182 WPM on 26 May with 15 wrong words and 0 corrections
Only one try for both.

If the same thing happened at that time, you'll understand that this casts some doubts on your results obtained in May.

It may be that the same thing has happened at some other time. If it is possible eliminate the tests that you consider are not correct. I will inform you when I detect any anomalies.
On the other hand, once I saw results, a girl who does not remember the nick, in the Chinese language of 240 wpm and you on your personal page where you expose your results also reaches 180 wpm; how can be so fast in the Chinese language ? Is an interpreter or translator used?
I do not get it.

About Chinese and Japanese, it's explained in the 10FF FAQ: each ideogram counts as 5 keystrokes. That's why the scores are so high (but you'll notice that the number of typed words is not that high). To know the actual score you can divide it approximately by 2. These languages are more complex than the others and it's planned to change the system of calculation for them when we have found a method that better reflects reality.
