(Sorry for bad english, I'm a young rench)
Hi!
I read the whole ideas you proposed, and they seems great to me
To my mind, it would be awesome (and crazy, actually :p ) if the amount of point increased exponentially for each letter, independantly from the word, and caved in to 0 if a fail occurs.
I mean, imagine the sequence "word water food enough". The letter "w" well-spelled would give 1 point; the "o" would give "1", the "r" would give 2 points, the "d" would give 3 points, the "w" would give 5, then 8, then 13, then 21...(Random exponential function...) And if the typist fails, the chain would be broken, and the typist would have to rewrite more and more to get more and more points!
So this systems would reward accurate rather than fast typist! since the typist isn't accurate and fast...
And I had another crazy idea, which I thought to by thinking of myself :p
I'm very fastly infuriated by typing, while I'm passionated by...
It's a question of, when you begin the test, beginning forever. It means you can't refresh the page or leave it when you misspell some words, as I use to do. If you do, then the failed test will be registered in your stats, in the server etc...
So you would have to go on, to the end!
I don't know if it's useful, or even if it is possible to do it, but it would help me a lot to prevent pushing on F5 again, and again, and again...
Thanks for reading!
