Multilingual Typing

Post by Linsk » Sat Jul 11, 2015 4:43 pm

Hello world typists, :)

I open this thread for those who like or would like to type in many languages on 10FF, including Latin and non-Latin alphabets. It's intended to talk about:

- how many and who are multilingual typists;
- our hints and difficulties;
- our scores and averages in all languages;
- how many languages we are able to type;
- what are our achievements and personal goals;
- how to type in certain languages;
- how to chose or create the best keyboard layout for a particular language;
- and so on ...

I know that we are a significant number to type in many languages, so I hope you'll read me and if this topic interests you, feel free to answer, whatever your level, you'll be welcome! ;)

Multilingual typists:

:lol:
Alright, I'm the first one who reply this post :D Hope it will motivate more typists to join this topic. It's really interesting to share experiences about Multilingual Typing.
I can type all 50 languages now in 10FF.
But I only can type good in Latin languages without special characters or less than 5 special characters, and my native language - Vietnamese.
With non Latin languages such as Chinese simplified, Chinese Traditional, Japanese, it's not difficult to type but the problem is we have to know all the words. And the vocabularies in Chinese are so many. If someone would like to type these languages, can answer here, I can help with romaji Japanese and Chinese.
And my native language Vietnamese too, if you have interested in.

other non Latin languages, I can type, but my speed just enough to save the score 10wpm :D
Thanks to Linsk for instruct me how to install Kurdish layout, I really don't know how to type this language at first. That's why I think sharing is something really necessary.

Hey Oanh, :)

Thank you very much for not to leaving me alone. :lol: Haha, congratulations, you've typed your scores in all languages, nice effort! But you forgot another interesting thing: to give the link to your 10FF profile. ^^ I do it for you and add you to the list of multilingual typists.

You're definitely a power typist and that's why you're becoming amazing in all languages. You're a very motivating opponent! I have to thank you too for your tips in Vietnamese and Japanese. ;)

So yeah, don't be shy others, come and introduce yourself, we don't bite. :D

:lol: ha ha Thank you :D I think I become really power when you compliment me so :D

Yes, just sharing, then we will get more than what we spend for. It's benefit :D
Don't you all ever curious how others type a language that you don't know what on earth how to get start with this language. I did ha ha even I can type in my own way, but I did feel curious how others type it, maybe I can learn something useful from them. So, I reply to this post, because I want to learn more.

And, yes, again, Thanks to you, Linsk, you're the one who inspire me to try to type all the languages without skipping special words. That's what I always did before, just skipping, and it's bored me with that way of typing. I want to type a language in the meaning of, can type all the words in that language. Finally I can. my speed's still slow in these languages which are so new to me, but no matter, just spend time to practice, then, speed will come up as well.

And, if you ask why we try to do it?
I think it's interesting, and quite a challenge. It's so much fun too when you feel you can conquer it. Ha ha and for now, just it's something excited me when my friends see my 10FF profile, they just WOW ha ha and I'm happy just by this simple thing :lol:

btw Linsk, why you know I don't bite ha ha.
