recently, i figured using left shift is more more easier for me than using right shift
so ive been practicing with it but theres one little problem which i can't still figure out
how do you type words such as aeQuorin? (yes, the Q is capital)
i mean i know left pinky finger is for q,a,z and you have to use ring finger to type capital Q
but the first a is kinda bothering me.
like if you type the first a using your pinky finger
it takes much more time than using ringer finger for a.
maybe its just me, but i wanna know how you guys (who use pinky finger for qaz and left shift) type!
hoping for a good reply hehe!

What I would do is just to use the right shift. If I do that I won't have to "stop" my pace. You should try it out. Also, using different fingers for the same letter could surely be faster, however keep in mind that there is a chance your accuracy might go down a bit by doing that.

Normally I'm using my left pinky for the A but when I have to type a capital letter A I'm using my left pinky for shift and my left ring finger for the A :)

I am not sure if it has to do with how big your hands are, my hands are not huge or exceptionally big but they are definitely not small. :)

what i mean is when you type something like 'quA' for example
would you type b with your pinky finger?
cause that would be lots of time loss if you press 'q' with your pinky

What? Generally one uses the right shift when you have to type something with your left hand, and vice versa. Don't know what you're on about. Why would you use ring finger for Q?

cause i figured the method you mentioned is actually slower than using left shift for every capital letter.
and many people including myself just prefer left shift as well.

quA:

q = left pinky
u = right middle finger
A = Left shift pinky, A = left ring finger

Please not that this is not how you should typing, it's my way.
But I'm just typing how I feel comfortable with typing ;)

thanx for your reply
would you mind asking one more question?
when you type 'Rain' (R is capital) which finger do you use for "a'
and do you press number 1 and 0 with pinky finger?

What's the argument for using less keys being more efficient/faster? I know there are alternative layouts which may be faster than qwerty, but why would intentionally limiting yourself in a particular layout be more effective? It probably isn't... concentrating on one hand slows you down, which is why words like "difference" are awful, since only i and n are right handed. You're even debating how best to get over this non intuitive aversion (an issue with using left shift? It's only an issue if you don't use the right shift :). If you're thinking at all about which fingers or keys to use while you're typing then wouldn't that necessarily slow you down?

Don't the really fast typists (170+) all use either standard drovak or standard qwerty, with the prescribed methods?

I don't use right shift at all, and I hate the word "different" ;)

Rain:
R = left pinky shift, index finger R
a = left pinky
i = right middle finger
n = right index finger

I don't use pinky for numbers.. :)
