I have reached maximum speed?
I have reached maximum speed?
I've learned how to touch type but 90 wpm seams to be the maximum speed I can get. Even if I press random keys I can't hit more than 450 keys in 60 seconds. With touch typing I moved from 60-70wpm to 90 wpm but it doesn't seams a great improvement to me. I want at least 100wpm. Is there anything else I can do to improve my speed ? Thanks.

I don't see why some people are so concerned about typing 90 or 100 words per minute. 70 is good enough to get you many jobs, including legal secretary.
Todd Hicks provides tips on typing. http://sdinst.blogspot.com

Not only can you increase efficiency with faster typing speeds for whatever job you work at. But you can also get other jobs other than a secretary with typing speeds. For the people that do subtitles on TV. That is live, and someone is sitting there with a keyboard doing subtitles while you watch your show. It REQUIRES (most of the time) you to have 100+ WPM consistently with very few to none at all mistakes.

I for one couldn't care less about jobs involving typing. I do it purely for recreation and I just like to see high typing speeds. It's never good enough for me.
