Re: Weird ranking error in competition?
Okay, I assumed something along these lines, but it's always better to see it confirmed. Maybe you could include the corrections some time, but as you said, this case (almost) never occurs, so I will simply consider myself (un)lucky enough to have gotten it Also good to know that the first place can...

Re: Weird ranking error in competition?
I'm not sure if it's a bug or maybe just a connection error (which would be much harder to find), but I kind of forgot the bug thread. If a moderator wants to move this post there, please do it Edit: I have witnessed this place switching before, so I don't think that this is cheating... but who knows?

Weird ranking error in competition?
Hi all, first of all, I don't want to complain about anything, but the following competition (against a very fast other typer and a fierce competition indeed ) has an unexpected result: m http://fs5.directupload.net/images/user/160818/cvaawn7z.png What happened? ⋅ I ranked 1st, the other g...

User on 10FF twice?
Sometimes when I glance at the highscore at tests, I spot this: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/user/160116/2unkbmfj.png Profiles: HerrMerks (registered 2012) and Krzysztof Merks (registered 1 month ago) respectively. No matter how you look at it, this seems to be the same person I dont't want to...

Re: Strange result?
That peak certainly looks a bit strange (nice user ID btw). I might have an explanation for the 15 WPM drop: There are some known bugs where the internal counter breaks, and it adds all subsequent types to the "wrong words" or drops them out altogether. You can see two of those drops on my...

Re: Position 1 of over 120k tests taken with 134WPM???
It says so right there: On one day, your 134wpm were #1 and on another day, 143wpm were only #31. Not everyone is always at his best form or makes typing tests every day, so of course the maximum wpm of #1 can vary a bit. And as the tests in the highscore are only valid for 24 hours, there has to be...

Re: Cheaters
Not necessarily, if you take a look at his vietnamese typing tests, you see an average 115 with a spike at 127, so 136 is not so much better (in contrast to his english tests)...

Re: Is it worth to learn touch typing ? (140 wpm with 6 fing
Do you mean you get to 140WPM without touch typing? When I started typing (not as young as you), I never had so much as a system and now I'm at ~150WPM as well. It's not that other people evaluate you on the way how you type, at least that's not my experience. As long as it doesn't restrict you in w...

Re: All time ranking?
I think this is covered in the FAQ ( http://10fastfingers.com/faq ): All time Highscore You may ask: "Why is there no highscore older than 1 day?" There are a few cheaters who use the typing test to satisfy some weird sense of accomplishment by cheating. Even though I try to make it harder...

Re: Top 1000 words: Sequences doubled?
Two possible explanations: Maybe the internal statistics compare the mistakes made in the first 50% of the words and compare them with the mistakes in the second 50% to get an idea whether the person got tired or even improved with the words. As a user, this would certainly be interesting! On the ot...
