Re: Individual and general typing speed
It really depends on which language you type in. In the more common languages you have to type faster to reach the hihger percentiles than in the less common languages. In Norwegian I think you only need around 100 WPM to reach 90+ percentile. Possibly even lower.

Re: Is 10-finger-typing so much faster?
At that speed I'd assume it takes longer than a couple of days. However, since one already would have coordination in most of the fingers to move really quickly, I think that one would reach the same speed after only a couple of weeks. At speeds lower than 80 WPM I think that one could reach the pre...

Re: Is 10-finger-typing so much faster?
The reason people say that using all your 10 fingers is smart is that when you use more fingers, each individual finger moves a shorter distance. This means that if your fingers move at a certain speed, using more fingers will make you type faster. It makes sense to me that if you're going to press ...

Re: 10fastfingers team on Whatpulse
Whatpulse isn't my site, and it's not meant for typing tests. What the software does is it counts how many keystrokes one has and when you're in a team it adds up those keystrokes. It's a fairly meaningless site if you don't care about the statistics of your computer inputs, but if you do it's an in...

10fastfingers team on Whatpulse
Hey, I made a post a while back but it didn't gain a lot of attention. I created a team on the site Whatpulse, which is a site that logs how many keystrokes you do. There are also leaderboards and similar things. I would think that someone who frequents this site would press a lot of keys in a day, ...

Re: How many people need to participate?
If you take a look at the achievements you can earn for winning competitions, you will see that it says you need to have at least 5 participants in the competition.

Re: A newbie to typing
I'd say typing 80 WPM without having any particular typing method is very possible, however if you're saying you type that fast while looking at the keyboard I'd say you're lying. When it comes to how fast you can become, I'd say around 200 WPM with a lot of training is possible. Any speed higher th...

Re: What fingers do you use when you type?
Hey I'm curious, how are you able to type so quickly with only 3 fingers? I'm really excited to see a video of you where you show your fingers. As to how to place your camera, I don't really care how you place it. I'm sure someone else might think differently though. To stay on topic, I use all my f...

Re: New "practice" mode
I believe you can do that. Just go into practice mode and press freestryle mode. There you can choose your own letters.

Re: KeyBoard Layout HELP!
I'd say that that is a Qwerty keyboard. I don't know if you can buy that specific keyboard with another layout or not but if you're not sure which one you have, just read the first letters on the top left row. If they are "qwerty" then you have a Qwerty-based layout.
